About Our Program
I work in a public Montessori Program. Our program is open to any child in our the district. No test is needed for admission, only a School of Choice Voucher and School Registration Form, both of which are available in any of the Montessori Classrooms. (Language interpreters are available upon request.)
Our program is dedicated to the goal of empowering students to become educated, concerned, active and aware citizens of the world. We believe in working with each child's unique strengths, interests, and learning styles to inspire him or her to reach their highest potential.
Additionally, history, social studies, science and geography are systematically integrated into the core academic curriculum to teach, promote, and enhance reading, writing and mathmatics skills . These areas are known to Montessorians as the "cultural areas" because it is our belief that the knowledge of these studies marks the difference between simply being "literate person" and being a "educated person".
More so, we believe that the arts can be one road to achievement and need to be accessible to all children, regardless of their academic level. We acknowledge that many children who would not be considered "gifted" in academics may learn best when concepts are introduced in an artistic or dramatic way.
